In the supply chain world, we love predictability yet today we face quite the opposite. Supply chains from all industries face Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA).

 What if instead of fighting the challenges brought on by VUCA; and instead of trying to change our context, we consciously and purposely developed SIMPLE processes to manage the inevitable complexity? 

Instead of becoming victims of our VUCA circumstances let us identify those things we can control, be prepared to manage those we cannot control, and throughout our supply chains implement simple solutions that can quickly evolve with the changing environments. 

Our approach will be to focus on volatility as the key active ingredient to manage for mitigating the effects of uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. To rationally deal with VUCA it is imperative to: 

-Have a rational approach to S&OP based on your companies specific needs ?

-Have excellent supply chain visibility ?

-Have appropriate processes and systems in place ?

-Have a deliberate risk management strategy ?

-Have all business processes aligned and driving to the strategic goals of the company 

We will explain in detail each one of these three elements, and share specific actions and examples that participants could quickly implement mostly through change management efforts and minimum investment.
