General:
- Teams will be comprised of 4 students.
- There are separate flights for Graduate and Undergraduate students.
- Each Team Leader must register (www.bostonapics.org) by February 15, 2010.
- Attire is business casual (it's a Saturday!).
- Each team will bring its own laptop (1 or more) with a USB port for a memory stick.
- At registration each team will be assigned an identifying team number and will not disclose their school affiliation until completion of the competition.
Case Analysis:
- Each team will receive a case package, including a memory stick.
- Teams are strictly forbidden to discuss the case with anyone except team members.
- Students may use any type of software for case analysis.
- Cell phones, texting, emails will not be allowed once the competition begins.
- Teams may bring any textbooks, industry journals, or other written materials
- Each team will do their analysis in the breakout room assigned to them.
- Clarifying questions (to Judges only) will be allowed during the competition.
- Teams will turn in their memory stick with final presentation AT 12:30 PM SHARP.
Presentation:
- PowerPoint is the required presentation format - a template will be supplied.
- Each slide must contain the team's identification number.
- Content is unregulated, but presentation is strictly limited to 9 minutes!
- Presentation order will be by random drawing prior to the competition.
- Teams will not be allowed to watch presentations until after theirs is complete.
- Presentations will be timed:
o 9 minute presentation.
o 5 minutes for Judges' questions.
- Case solutions presented will become the property of APICS.
